Vaping Series: What is Vaping?
Vaping is a six-letter word that causes distress in the lives of young adults across America. Vaping, defined by Merriam Webster, is the process by which one “inhales through the mouth from a battery-operated electronic device (such as an electronic cigarette) that heats up and vaporizes a liquid or a solid.” Therefore, vaping is a costly process by which someone vapes a liquid that turns into a vapor.
The vaping mechanism exists of some parts. Center on Addiction reported, “Generally a vaping device consists of a mouthpiece, a battery, a cartridge for containing the e-liquid or e-juice, and a heating component for the device that is powered by a battery. When the device is used, the battery heats up the heating component, which turns the contents of the e-liquid into an aerosol that is inhaled into the lungs and then exhaled” (https://www.centeronaddiction.org/e-cigarettes/recreational-vaping/what-vaping).
This is the definition of how a vaporizer product operates. It seems heart-wrenching to see young people vape with a product that could be laced with THC.
Most people say vaping does not consist of harmful chemicals. However, vaping consists of deadly chemicals that cause severe problems. Center on Addiction reported on the ingredients in a vaping product. This organization reported, “The e-liquid in vaporizer products usually contains a propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin-based liquid with nicotine, flavoring and other chemicals and metals, but not tobacco. Some people use these devices to vape THC, the chemical responsible for most of marijuana mind-altering effects, or even synthetic drugs like flakka, instead of nicotine” (https://www.centeronaddiction.org/e-cigarettes/recreational-vaping/what-vaping). This proves that vaping is a tool that is used to relieve their anxieties.
In conclusion, vaping, then, is a unethically practice, by which someone vapes to lower or relieve their anxieties on the world. When, in reality, the American populous should rest on Jesus Christ alone to satisfy their anxieties. 1 Peter 5:7 states “Cast all your anxiety on him because he (Jesus Christ) cares for you.” This is an amazing truth, no addiction can satisfy your anxieties. Only Jesus Christ can satisfy your anxieties. Remember Jesus Christ cares for you. What an important truth to remember!
