Turmoil in the White House

The Democrats are blaming Biden's late exit that contributed to 2024 Presidential Candidate Harris astounding defeat to Former President Donald J. Trump. But there are some insights that Democrats need to change within their party to attract our generation of voters, which is predominantly the millennials, the generation Z, and the soon to be Generation Alpha. Among the Exit polls consisting among the major News Media corporations (CNN, Fox News, ABC News, NBC News, MSNBC), and other non-traditional news media corporations, they found that the number one issue is the Economy.

The Prologue

I consider the Biden-Harris Administration to be a lame duck administration. This administration didn't do much for our economy as much as try to prosecute the former president of the United States and now the president. They tried their hardest to keep President-Elect Donald Trump from running for president. Granted, his personality is headstrong, but his heart is for the American people. It seemed like the Democratic Party needed to change. They seem to be a party of celebrities instead of a party for the people.

The Harris presidential campaign spent an unfathomable amount of 1 billion dollars-1 billion dollars. Instead of going places to raise voter support, she paid her celebrities a fortune to promote her agenda. She went "Hollywood." Celebrities do not win votes, and voters win votes. In a campaign, you have to have slogans and a message of what you are going to do to put more money in the pocketbook of voters. She was for raising taxes on corporations, which would lead to more overseas jobs because they had no incentive for corporations to return to the United States. This is what the democratic party has to do to win my vote in 2028.

First, Reform the Immigration policies and procedures

The first thing they have to do is close the border down to illegal immigrants and make a bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform bill. Illegal immigration is a controversial issue because illegal immigration jeopardizes the safety of the children migrating and U.S. Citizens. In any government, the utmost responsibility is the protection of its citizens. A. Specter, a politician, once proclaimed, "The fundamental purpose of the government is to protect its citizens." (n.d., para 1). The United States is responsible for the safety of its citizens. The United States is responsible for streamlining the immigration court system so that the migrating children can have adequate representation. Young children, especially three and four-year-olds, are sadly left behind in the immigration court without adequate representation (Buffet, 2018, p. 17).

According to the American Immigration Council, a council that works to change the immigration mindset of United States citizens, "Many children must navigate the complicated immigration system without legal representation" (Children in immigration court, 2016, para. 1). To win my vote, the Democrats have to come up with a plan to get these children legal representation or send them back to where they come from, which is a place worse than the United States.

Second, Bolster the Economy and Create a Comprehensive Job growth policy

In the Biden-Harris Administration, I have seen grocery prices skyrocket and increase in the interest rates on local, state, and federal levels. In Addition, They need to implement a tax plan like President-Elect Donald Trump proposed, where we have no tax on overtime, no tax on tips, and no tax on social security. We have been taxed more on overtime than on our wages. At least at minimum, our taxes on overtime should be the same as the tax on our wages, not a higher tax. Also, we need to be more focused on America. Also, we should introduce a price control law that limits price gouging. This is what the democrats have to do to win my vote in 2028.

Third, they need to return to the working class

They have been so focused on pleasing themselves and prosecuting Donald Trump instead of tackling the issues that wage on in our beautiful country. Granted, the Biden-Harris Administration passed the CHIPS Act, which enabled our country to make and sell Semiconductors that are used on computers, laptops, and cell phones. This created many jobs. However, the democrat Party never once mentioned this great achievement on the Campaign trail. It makes me wonder, "Why were the democrats running a negative campaign against Trump instead of dealing with issues that matter to the American people."

For instance, President Trump ran a campaign for the people, by the people, and of the people. He did not pay Oprah to appear on stage to urge voters to vote for him. He ran a policy campaign with a little bit of a negative campaign. He had several policies and promised the American people that he would do them in the first 100 days after he returned to the White House. However, presidential candidate Harris ran a campaign that cost her an unfathomable amount. She said on record on a major news outlet, "I would do nothing different than what President Biden has done." This dealt a major blow to her campaign strategy and maybe what cost her the election.

If she had spoken on policy, she might have won the election. However, she kept saying, "I will be the president for all Americans, even the ones who didn't vote for me." This is an interesting philosophy because FEMA had an employee who stated that they should skip houses with Donald Trump signs in their yards in the diaster-plagued cities in North Carolina. How, with this, is Harris a "president for all Americans?" They need to return to the working class instead of bickering among themselves.

Conclusion

We will never know why Harris lost the election, but these are three comprehensive policy points that led me to vote for the Republican instead of the Democratic candidate. I also admired how Harris conceded the election, unlike Former President Donald Trump didn't do in the 2020 election. Though you may disagree with me and maybe not like this article. I can stand by these policies because they fit the responsibility of the United States Government. In the words of Arlen Specter, the utmost responsibility of any government is to protect its citizens. Biden-Harris Administration sadly did not live up to the responsibility of protecting its citizens by allowing the immigration issue to go unchecked.
