Defenseless to Defended--The Preface

Have you ever felt like you were stuck somewhere, longing to be somewhere else? Do you feel like someone else is controlling your mind (Trying to change your viewpoint into something that you are against)? Do you feel like you are in a spiritual prison, longing to break free from your stagnant Faith?

I always wrestle with my fleshy desires. I struggle with the temptation to sin (wanting to do something that you know is against God’s standards). Satan sometimes tempts me to sin but I should resist the Devil and he shall flee from me. Devout men and women struggle with the same tug-a-war game. Satan trying to pull men and women of holy Faith into the side of sinning. However, we should resist the temptation to sin so that we are not compelled to sin against God.

This online series, called Defenseless to Defended, that is always being added to, is a devotional on how to encounter Satan’s Venom in everyday life and how to eliminate the causes of spiritual static noise in one’s life. Sometimes, you can take a misstep on your spiritual walk and encounter the fangs dripping with Satan’s venom, piercing your spiritual walk with God. It can start small like an innocent white lie until it gets into full gear that causes you to be too far gone to recover from your sin nature. This is where you have to use God’s antivenom to counterattack Satan’s venom.

The only source of God’s antivenom is by memorizing and meditating on God’s Word. One practical passage to memorize is Ephesians 4:1-32 which helps us be patient, humble, and tolerant with those who seem different from us. This book can help you identify the causes of spiritual venom, how to pursue avenues to disrupt those causes, and pursue the solution to help eliminate those causes of spiritual malignancy in one’s life. I wrote this book who are hurting and are trying. Satan seeks to implant lies in the brain to cause us to question God’s motives. Satan also tries to distract us from trusting in God. As Proverbs 29:25 states, “The fear of man lays a snare but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe,” those who trusts in the Lord are safe. But those who believes in the lies of Satan can be caught in a snare. The goal of this book is to help identify and combat the causes of spiritual venom to help grow the believer’s Faith in God.

This book can also help those who are trying to find their relationship with God. This book will look at the sixteen of Satan’s venomous attacks and how to counterattack Satan’s vicious attacks. I urge you, brothers and sisters in Christ, to read this book with an open mind so that you may practice the defense mechanisms against Satan’s attacks. God is the only one that can provide the adequate defense against Satan’s attacks.
