Daily Encouragement: John 1:12, Romans 8:14-17, 18-21, 22-25

We hope that our economy will stay strong. We hope that our suffering will be temporary. In Everyday life, We hope in a lot of things. However, One hope remains the same that Hope is Jesus Christ. The Gospel give us a living hope instead of a fake hope.

To accept the Living hope, you need to do 3 things.

First, you need to understand that God loves you. John 3:16 states “For God so loved the world.” God loves you and God loves me. But one thing separates us from God and that is sin which leads me to my second part.

Second, if you haven’t already accepted Jesus, Admit you are sinner. sin is anything you think, say or do, that displeases God or makes God sad. Romans 3:23 states “For all have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God. So I have sinned and you have sinned. This sin separates us from the living Hope. the punishment of sin is a spiritual death. Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of sin is death.”However, God has given us a cure to this virus of sin. Romans 6:23 continues on with a promise, “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This verse leads to my third part of the Gospel message.

Third, if you haven’t already accepted Jesus, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Jesus died a painful death on the Cross for your sins and rose on the Third Day. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 states, “For what I received I pass on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

Once you accepted Jesus Christ, you are always saved. 1 John 1:9 states, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” So when you sin, you only have to confess your sins, then Jesus Christ is faithful to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Once you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5-6 states “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you: never will I forsake you.’ So God is with you wherever you go. What an amazing promise!

Once you accept Jesus Christ and believe in Him, you will become a child of God. John 1:12 states, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become Children of God.”Once you accept Jesus Christ, you will become Children of God resting your hope in Jesus Christ who is the provider of Hope. This is an amazing promise!

It reminds me of a passage from Romans 8. Romans 8:14-17 states, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. and by him, we cry ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. if indeed we are share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” This is truly miraculous promise!

However, we may suffer a little bit but we should not lose hope of the glory that will be revealed to us in heaven.

Romans 8:18-21 states “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage of decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.”

This passage is indicating that we should not compare our present sufferings with the glory that will be revealed to us. Also, it indicates that the creation is not might for destruction instead a rebirth. In the future, living things will no longer be subject to death and decay.

Again we need to focus our eyes on Jesus Christ who is the redeemer and sustainer.

Romans 8:22-25 states, “We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope, we were saved, but hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

In this passage, we should hope for what is unseen which the glorious promise of being adopt in God’s wonderful family. We should be glad that God saved us and helped us realize that we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Jesus Christ. Remember, We are God’s Children holding fast in his promises.

Tune in tomorrow for another daily encouragement.
