Hope is a 4-letter word that has great meaning. We hope the COVID-19 outbreak will soon be over. We hope that The U.S Economy will bounce back to the all-time high of the index of 30,000. We hope that Churches can resume their services soon. We hope schools will be opened soon. As you can see, in our everyday life, hope always occurs. However, one hope remains true. that hope is in Jesus Christ, our living hope.

As recorded in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, it states, “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

This passage is very important because this passage shows us the true miracle of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came down as a perfect sacrifice to save us from our sin and rose on the third day. This is so amazing!

Therefore, Jesus Christ is the beacon of hope in this unprecedented circumstance. He is the Living Hope that never fades away.

1 Peter 1:3-5 states, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”

This passage can point us to gospel message. If we realize we are sinners and in need of Jesus Christ, we can receive the inheritance that never fades away. However, We, as Christians, may face trials of any kind, but we should not lose our focus on Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:6-7 states, “In all this, you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith–of greater worth than gold which perishes even though refined by fire–may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

So even though we are faced with trials like the COVID-19 outbreak, we should remember that these trials pale in comparison to the Glory of Jesus Christ that will be revealed in Heaven. Remember, do not lose your focus on Jesus Christ, who is the provider of hope. Our Hope solely rests on Jesus Christ.

Tune in tomorrow for another daily encouragement.
