AWANA Journey Section 5.4 Question 1: What Scripture passage encourages you most in the safety and r

This is a great question AWANA asked me. It is hard to just chose 1 because they are a whole slew of them. One passage that stands out to me the most is Isaiah 41:10. Isaiah 41:10 states, “So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will help you with my righteous right hand.” This passage gives me a sense of comfort and refuge. Another verse that encourages me the most in the safety and refuge of God alone is Philippians 4:6-7. Phillippians 4:6-7 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, in every situation with prayer and petition make your requests known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

When you struggle finding safety and refuge in God, remember God is there for you. Hebrews 13:5-6 basically communicates that God will never leave us nor forsake us. Nobody can snatch us out of our heavenly Father’s hand. God’s hand is over those who follow him. God protects us and defends us. He will never leave us. All you need to do is Trust in Jesus Christ as the rescuer of your sins. What an amazing truth.

That is all for now. Thanks for tuning into the Hawk Youth Mission’s article on taking refuge in God.
